Pastor Taylor is a native of Oakland, California.  He is the 4th child in a family of nine children.

His love of community has led him to mentor many of Oakland's  youth through sports activities.

Loyal, dedicated and inspiring are just a few words to describe Elder Samuel Taylor Jr.  He was destined to be in the ministry following in his father's footsteps.  Under the leadership and guidance of his father, the late Bishop Samuel Taylor, he was ordained.  He has humbly served as a minister, Sunday School teacher, facilitator of Tuesday Night Prayer Service, and assistant pastor.  Elder Taylor remains committed to uplifting God.

His vision for The Church of the Living God is to build a family of devoted followers of Christ that worship God, shares Christ's hope and love and to minister to each other's needs.  He is married to his lovely wife Ardra.
